WESTLAKE - Marjorie Eliene (nee Andress) Cowin, 94, of Westlake and Fairview Park, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Fairview Park. Born on November 19, 1916 in Wellington to the late Almon Ray and Lucille (nee
Furze) Andress, Marjorie attended Lakewood High School.
Marjorie was married to Norman Cowin from Laxey, Isle of Man until his death in1995. Very much a hobbyist, Marjorie enjoyed creative arts, such as stained-leaded glass, pottery, ceramics and macramé. Her many unique talents included carpentry and remodeling.
Survivors include her children, David (Wanda) Cowin, of IL, Joyce Young, of OH, Marilyn Sidaway, of MI, Craig (Sheryl) Cowin, of OH, Elaine Beck, of OH, James (Brenda) Cowin, of WA, Kenneth (Julie) Cowin, of OH and Douglas (Donna) Cowin, of OH. Marjorie was also a loving grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother.
Marjorie was also the dear aunt of Karl (Rose) Zimmer, of OH and Alfred (Ruth) Moughton, of VA. In addition to her husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline (Herm) Zimmer and nieces Edith (John) Porcello and Cecilia Murray. Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 23 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington.
