COLUMBUS, OH - Mathis (Pee Wee) Dondi Boyd went home to be with the lord on Friday, July 5, 2013 unexpectedly. He was born in Lorain, Ohio where he spent most of his life until 2 years ago moving to Columbus, Ohio.
He enjoyed fishing, dancing and having a great time with his family and friends. He mostly enjoyed spending all his free time with his grandson.
He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Jodie Lee Boyd (Glasen); daughters, Crystal Boyd, and Constance Hill both of Lorain, Ohio, and Destiny Welch of Atlanta Georgia; son, Correy Hill of Lorain, Ohio; step children, Blake Glasen, Morgan Glasen, Deidra Glasen, and Kyle Glasen of Lorain, Ohio, Bianca Cruz, Jasmin Cruz, Jarice Carrion, and Juan Carrion; grandson, Jermaine Stewart Jr. also of Lorain, Ohio; brothers, Christopher (Cathy) Thomas and Dion Boyd of Lorain, Ohio, Matthew (Wambi) Boyd of Cleveland, Ohio, and William (Jay) Boyd of Elyria, Ohio; sisters, Sonya Thomas, Leona Boswell, Virginia (Jenny) Boyd of Cleveland, Ohio, Kimberly (Robert) Donnell of New Castle, Pa., and Unity (Eric) Miller of Canton, Ohio; and the Dunlap family of Lorain, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mathias Dunlap; mother, Gladys Boyd; brother, Jay Dunlap; sisters, Nellie Boyd, Dorris Dunlap, and Joanne Dunlap; and maternal grandmother Nellie Ware.
Friends may call Saturday, July 13th at 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel 3001 Elyria Ave. Lorain, Ohio were Rev. Boatwright of Shiloh Baptist Church will officiate. Donations can be made to Carter Funeral Home in memory of Mathis (Pee Wee) Boyd.
