AMHERST - Randall Wayne Woodyard, 58 of Amherst, passed away suddenly Friday February 14, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center of Lorain. He was born March 29, 1955 in Weston, West Virginia. Randy was a 1974 graduate of Elyria High School. He was employed by Ford for 34 years until his retirement. Randall had many interests including member of Lorain County Kennel Club, was a coach of Little League West, Dog Groomer, showed dogs, guitar and piano player, sports lover of Browns, Indians, and Cavs. Randy was also a lifetime member of Lowell Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include former wives Janet Sue and Vicki sons Jason (MaryLynn) of Amherst, Justin (Amber) of New Holstein, Wisconsin, Jonathan of Mt. Vernon, sisters Virginia McDonald of Lorain, Linda (Edwin) Gore of New London , Betty (Tom) Spaulding of Elyria, brother Jim (Donna) of Lorain, grandchildren Jonathan, Aiden, Ian, Gavin, Jason, Kensington, Caleb, Skylyn, and Brooklyn, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Orma (nee Carpenter), Edna Woodyard, brothers Don Sr., Paul Bosley and Larry Bosley.
Family will receive friends 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Laubenthal –Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria and Thursday February 20, 2014 from 11A.M. until time of Service at 12 Noon at the Lowell Street Baptist Church 642 Lowell St., Elyria (Please meet at Church on Thursday). Pastors Ed Gore and Tom Spaulding will co-officiate. Burial Private.
