Robert “Slick” Davidson BIRMINGHAM — Robert “Slick” Davidson, age 88, of Birmingham, died on April 23, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on August 8, 1924 in Birmingham and has lived here his entire life. He worked for Opperman's Cider Mill and retired from Vermilion Local Schools as a custodian. He was a member of the Birmingham United Methodist Church. He enjoyed square dancing, walking around town and taking care of his lawn. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Kathleen (Logan); his daughter Elizabeth “Betty” Davidson, of Birmingham; and a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Mary (Mason) Davidson; his sisters June Tischer and Donna Newhall; and a brother James Harley Davidson. Friends may call on Thursday, April 25th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m. at the Birmingham United Methodist Church on South Street in Birmingham. Pastor Dick Kretchmar will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Birmingham Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morman Funeral Home, Wakeman.
