AVON - Rose M. Abfall (nee Holowecki), 91, of Avon, died Sat., February 25, 2012 at her home. She was born Oct. 2, 1920 in Rocky River, and had lived in Avon most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Avon. She also belonged to the Isabella Guild of the Fr. Regan Council #3269 in Avon.
She is survived by children: Louise Allen of Florida, Dorothy Hricovec of Avon, Michael (Patricia) of New London, Ruth (Gerald) Miller of Carroll, Ohio, Adam of N. Ridgeville, Bernadette (John) Hayes of Edmond, OK, Pauline (Tom) Wysocki of Avon, Stephan (Katherine) of Athens, Mary (Dennis) Gerrity of Columbia Station, David of Florida, Irene ""Becky"" (Steven) Stankiewicz of Avon, Elizabeth (James) Zielinski of Erie, PA, and Margaret (Christopher) Chinchar of Avon. Grandmother of 52 and great grandmother of 78.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Adam A. Abfall Jr., to whom she had been married 58 yrs.; Son: Lawrence; and daughters: Charlene Shepard, and Rose Gehring, sisters: Anne, Mary and Helen, brothers:Joseph and Peter. She was also preceded in death by twin grandsons: Thomas J. and John J. Hricovec in 1965
Friends will be received Tuesday Feb. 28, 2012 from 2:00 to 9:00pm at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, where closing prayers will be Wed. 9:00 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Avon.
