Albert Ross III

1990 - 2017

LORAIN – Albert (Gucc) Ross III, 26, of Lorain, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. He was born June 7, 1990 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and about 4 months later he and his family moved to Lorain, Ohio. As a child, they called him "Bossman", later to be called "Boss", and also affectionately known by family and friends as "Gucc". From the time Albert was born he had three champions who, without fail, always loved, nurtured and care for him. They were his mother, Karen, his grandmother, Verneyce (Nana) Ross, and his sister, Shavasia (Shay). Albert's family and friends were the world to him. Albert loved and spent "quality time" with his children, his family and close friends. His big smile said it all. His genuine kindness, wonderful sense of humor and love of life, especially his children, touched everyone who knew him. He was a graduate of Southview High School's Class of 2008 and after graduation he attended Lorain County Community College. He was an avid sports and Philadelphia's 76's fan. He loved to play basketball, Jet Ski, and video games.
Albert leaves to cherish his memory his children, Aubrey Ariana Ross and Albert Ross IV and their mother Capri Colvin, and his daughter Morgan Elise Ross and her mother and his girlfriend, TiJaun Brown; his mother, Karen (Morrow) Bodiford; step-father, Leon Bodiford; brothers, Cornelius (Alicia) Stafford, Michael Bodiford, Jamal Ross, and Alex (Marsha) Bodiford; his sisters, Naima (Shavasia) Lusane and Janetta Bodiford; paternal grandmother, Verneyce (Nana) Ross; and four special cousins/siblings, Danaja Lusane, Samone Bodiford, Raymond Dent and Joshua Dent; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Ross Jr.; paternal grandfather, Albert Ross Sr.; his maternal grandmother, Victoria Morrow; and maternal grandfather, Ned Lynn Brewer.
Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2017 from 10AM until time of service at 12PM at Worship Cathedral, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where Apostle Terrence Bivins is Host Pastor. Pastor Darla Kimbro of New Birth International Ministries will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
