Ann V. Amato
LORAIN - Ann V. Amato, (nee DiLuciano), 89, of Lorain passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Autumn Aegis in Lorain following a brief illness.
She was born in Uniontown Pa. on February 4, 1923 and had lived in Lorain for most of her life. Ann had worked for Crystal Clear Dry Cleaners and Wayne Dry Cleaners, both in Lorain. She had also been the cafeteria manager at St. Mary's School as well as a secretary for the City of Lorain in Community Development. Ann was a member of the Ladies Guild of Church of St. Peter in Lorain and the Democratic Women's Club. She enjoyed playing trivia on the radio where she had won many prizes, walking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son Rudy (Helen) Amato Jr. of Lorain; granddaughters, Alisa (Mike) McClure of Wellington, Debbie Amato of Lorain and Michelle (Milan) Radanovich of Lorain; great-grandchildren, Scott, Grant, Makenna, Mila, Lauren, Lindsay and Luke; sisters, Sophie (Elmer) Toth of Lorain, Theresa Sedano of Lorain, Betty Patrlja of Mansfield, Dee (Tony) Rodgers of Lorain, Julie DiLuciano of New Jersey and Gloria (Robert) Holtwick of Oberlin, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Amato Sr.; parents, Joseph and Carmella Diluciano; brothers, Richard and Robert DiLuciano, Angelo Sedano, Sam Sedano, Richard DiLuciano and Tony DiLuciano; and her sisters, Carmina Saporito and Katherine Sklarek.
Friends may call Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 10 AM until the time of the Services at 1 PM at Wyers Funeral Chapel 2900 North Ridge Road Sheffield Township. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain
