Carolyn Baich Wallace Obituary
Carolyn Baich Wallace, 89, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Lorain passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at her home following a long illness.
Carrie was born in Youngstown on July 7, 1923, the daughter of the late Sam and Anna (nee Klaich) Baich. She was a member of the former Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
She worked in the cafeteria for the Lorain City School system, retiring in 1979 after 10 years service.
Mrs Wallace was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Lorain Eastern Star, Beavercreek Republican Women's Club, and the Beavercreek VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Debborah L. Wallace, with whom she made her home, Karen G. (Chuck Jr.) Armstrong, of Tampa, FL, sister, Helen Jankovich of Butler, PA, Nieces Gloria (Jim) Kleister Gilbo of LaGrange, Dolly (Rich) Schwartz of Elyria, Kathy Radick Skorvanek of Lorain, Sandra Wallace LaMana of Cleveland, Millie (Jeff) Wallace Gelb of Laguna Hills, CA, nephews John (Ruthie) Bradley of LaGrange, Patrick (Jane) Fitzgerald of Temple Terrace, FL, 30 great nieces & nephews and 20 great great nieces & nephews. She will be sorely missed by her dear friends Krys Cherney and Ted Jacobs both of Lorain.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Greg Sellers, pastor of the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, officiating.
She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Gordon in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, OH.
Carrie had requested yellow flowers be sent in her memory, no carnations nor gladiolas. This has always been her wish.
