Joseph was born October 15, 1934 in Wakeman. He had been a Vermilion resident since 1967.
He attended Ohio State University. Joe had worked as a car salesman, worked for a finance company, and was the manager of the Oberlin Credit Bureau. He owned and operated Cider Mill Farm, Orchard and Vineyard.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Vermilion Knights of Columbus where he was past Grand Knight and past District Deputy. He was a 4th Degree Knight and was past Faithful Navigator. He enjoyed bowling with the Knights of Columbus and going to flea markets.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Molesky (nee Steffan) of Vermilion; daughters, Theresa (Mark) Desko of Mantua, Ohio, Angela (Jack) Nickels of Austin, Texas, Melanie Molesky of Vermilion; sons, Stan (Joanna) Molesky of Ashville, N.C. and Thomas Molesky of Capetown, South Africa; brothers, Louis (Rosie) Molesky of Wakeman, Robert (Marianne ) Molesky of Bellflower, CA, and, Michael Molesky of Santa Cruz, CA and sisters, Genevieve Bernier of Green Valley, Arizona, Jean (Charles) Martin of Norwalk, Arleen Molesky of Green Valley, Arizona and Kathy Culp of Savannah, Georgia
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret (nee Kuburcik) Molesky and sister, Mary Ramsey.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Knights of Columbus will provide an honor guard and say the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Wakeman.
