Mrs Abram was my 3rd grade teacher I remember my mom telling her, while my mom was pregnant that if I came to school with my hair down and messy, that meant my mom was in the hospital having her baby. So Mrs. Abram fixed my hair the next day anyway I wanted!! And I asked her to come to my little sister's christening party and she did.

Mr. Abram, J.R., Juliet and Family,
I am so very saddened to learn of Mrs. Abram's death. "Miss Nelson" was my 3rd grade teacher at Holy Trinity, Avon. I believe the very first class she had after certification. A large class too...I think there were 32 of us! I can honestly say she was my favorite teacher, and I think most students of hers would say the same. She was so very creative; teaching us song, dance, poetry, stories, writing, and theatre. I will always remember how she set up our classroom so that we as students could be the judicial system...judge and jury; the bank , teller and treasurer; city hall, mayor and citizens! How we held our own mock presidential elections. Our poetry contests and many skits and plays; such as, Alice in Wonderland, and Snoopy. Our school newspaper that we could contribute stories (the name escapes me...help me out alumni), the songs and talent shows we performed for parents and the school. She put so much time and energy into us! She definitely challenged us...having us reading and writing at higher grade levels. I never once heard her raise her voice in anger...and I am sure we gave her a reason to at times. I even attended college to become an elementary school teacher ( though I took a different career path). And much into my adulthood we kept in touch by Christmas cards! My classmates and I still keep in touch to this day and talk of her highly. Mrs. Abram taught me so much and I really loved her dearly. I have only the fondest memories. And It was no surprise that her daughter was named Juliet! I didn't even realize that we both graduated from St. Augustine Academy! So we really are "sisters". I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope it comforts you to know how special she was, and what a lasting impression she left for many, and how I feel she helped shaped me into the person I am today. Mrs. Abram will remain in my heart and prayers forever. With deepest sympathy to you all.

I have to sign this once more because I forgot to sign my name; as my mom used to say when I'd forget my homework for school, I was her little "forgetful Jones." I am thankful for all who have signed this guest book. Memories are treasures. She was an amazing teacher; If you believe you can achieve.

My mom was my first best friend, and my first teacher. Nobody made me laugh as much as she did. And nobody cheered me up more when I cried. My children are lucky to have time with her, and she loved them so much.
