LORAIN - Warren B. Dalton, Sr., 68, of Lorain, died August 4, 2013 at Lewis Stokes VA Medical Center Wade Park Campus in Cleveland.
He was born June 7, 1945 in Lorain and attended Elyria High School. He served with the
from 1962-1966 on the flight deck of the USS Lexington, stationed in Pensacola, Florida. He was also a member of the US Air Force Reserve, serving in Operation Desert Storm and the Iraq War, retiring as a master sergeant in 2004.
Warren was employed for thirty years at TRW (Nelson Stud Welding) from where he retired. He was a member and participated in the Honor Guard of American Legion Post 30 and
Post 451 both in Lorain. He was also a member of Am Vets Post 55 in Sheffield Village.
Other interest included fishing, camping, hunting and attending flea markets.
Warren is survived by a son, Warren (Jenny) Dalton, Jr. of Wellington; daughter, Jennifer Dalton (Mike) Wyatt of Huron; grandchildren, Josh, Megan and Jocelyn; sister, Nancy M. Dalton of Avon Lake; nieces; nephews; cousins; many loved ones and his former wife, Shirley Dalton Wild of Vermillion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Dalton O'Connor in 1990.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A graveside service will be Thursday August 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township where military honors will be presented by American Legion Post 30 and VFW Post 451 Honor Guard.
