Alexander Rodriquez Obituary
Alex was born on January 26, 1993 in Elyria. He was a 2011 graduate of Marion L Steele High School in Amherst. He played Varsity Football in High School and enjoyed working out and keeping physically fit. His greatest joy came from his football team in his senior year and spending time with his family. Alex was employed at Laser Craft in North Ridgeville and he attended Liberty Baptist Church in Elyria.
Alex is survived by his parents; John Rodriguez of Puerto Rico and Skippy King of Amherst Township. Maternal grandparents; Alfred and Audrey Jean Tyree of Amherst Township and Emory and Sarah King of Brighton Township. Paternal grandparents; Juan and Santa Rodriguez. Aunt; Tammy King of Jacksonville, Florida. Uncles; Michael King of Amherst Township, Brian King of Lorain, Andrew King of Brighton Township, Fernando Rodriguez of Columbus and James Rodriguez of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Step-Grandfather, Timothy F. Schmauch.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Wyers Funeral Chapel 2900 North Ridge Rd. Sheffield Township. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst. The Rev. Rick Young pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Elyria will officiate.

My heart aches for Arod's parents, family and friends during this difficult time. He was part of a great group of close friends, which includes our son, and we know these boys are hurting as they deal with such a tremendous loss. We can't begin to imagine the heartache of a parent when losing a child. May the Lord give you strength and comfort as only He can give.

I had the distinct pleasure of knowing your son at the breakfast that my wife Krissi and I would have for the Amherst Football team after their wins on Saturday mornings at our home!!! He was a team mateoif our son Vincent!!! He was a meek, humble very nice boy!!! He will be missed but not forgotten!!! He will always remain in your heart ??!!! He is with our Heavenly Father!!! My Son Vincent is crushed and very hurt by this loss as well!!! He was loved by so many!!! My Our Prayers are with you!!! If there is anything we can. Do to assist or do outside of our Prayers for you and your family during these difficult times please let us know!!!

I was Arod's 8th grade language arts teacher. Upon hearing of his passing, it took me aback. I was stunned and sickened by the news. He was the student who was always smiling, laughing, and brightening up the room with his presence and personality. I am so sorry for the pain you are enduring as parents and family. I had Arod as a student in 7th grade. He was ALWAYS doing things to make others laugh (and sometimes me, too). At his graduation, he was surprised I remembered him; but I have only fond memories of him (and his entire class, for that matter). I'm deeply saddened that he was taken so young. Can't even believe I'm typing again on this page under one of my fallen friends. AROD was such a vibrant person to be around. When you held a conversation with this man you'd think you knew him your entire life. Such a genuine kind hearted person that could literally make you laugh anytime he wanted to. Such a tragedy to our community.. I'll tell you one thing though. AROD was the type of person that would want us to still be happy, even after his passing. Arod, one of my biggest regrets I'll carry with me is not being a closer friend to you after high school. But I will never regret the friendship I did have with you. It was a privilege and an honor to have known you, and I will never forget you and what you and your life has taught me.
