AMHERST - Anna Mae Andrews (nee: Sobotka), 81 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her home following a prolonged illness. |
She was born May 1, 1930 in Lorain where she was raised. Anna moved to Vermilion in 1977 and Amherst has been her home since 2004.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Anna was employed at Tappan Industries in Elyria for many years. Her greatest passion in life was gardening and creating many beautiful flower gardens throughout her lifespan.
Anna leaves to cherish her memory her son and his wife Michael J. and Sandra Andrews of Amherst; her daughters and their husbands Jacalyn and Peter Cline of Amherst, Diana and Robert Tolvay of Lorain, and Laura and Michael Everhart of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; her son-in-law Gerald Draga; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years Frank Albert Andrews on July 23, 2003; her daughter Carol Draga on July 10, 2010; her parents Felix and Valeya Sobotka; and by her sisters Virginia Morgan and Teresa Szefczyk.
