Cheri DeV (Sheppard) Wheeler Cheri DeV (Sheppard) Wheeler: Cheri chose to depart this life on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 after suffering from traumatic brain injury for several years. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio on February 1, 1973 and was raised in Vermilion. She married first, Ronald Snyder, with whom she had two children, Cody and Jessica Snyder. She married second, John C. Wheeler on August 8, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio where they made their home in Grove City. Cheri and John had two children, Nicholas, and Lucas Wheeler. Cheri will be remembered for being a kind, generous, and compassionate person. She was passionate about the love she had for all of her family and friends and would stop whatever she was doing to help anyone. When a teenager, Cheri got her first job at Papa Joe's in Vermilion. She saved to buy her first brand new car, a Grand Am, and was so proud to be a responsible person and pay her own auto insurance. She possessed high ideals when it came to expressing right and wrong. Cheri enjoyed watching her boys play baseball and football and was a proud and beaming mother of joy. Holidays were her favorite times with her family and she fully decked the parties with all the bells and whistles. She always had a smile for everyone! She is survived by her husband, John, and children: Jessica and Cody Snyder, Nicholas and Lucas Wheeler, granddaughter Paisley all at home in Grove City, parents Denny and Drena Sheppard and sister Danielle Benson all of Libby, Montana, sister Joanie of Oregon, brothers Dennis of Huron and Benjamin of Perrysburg, Ohio, and maternal grandmother Donna Wolfgang of Rocky River, Ohio. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Daniel and Clara Sheppard. Friends and Family may call at the O. R. Woodyard Co. Chapel on 1346 South High Street in Columbus, Ohio.
