VERMILION - David Anthony Nieding, 45, of Vermilion, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his home following a sudden illness.
He was born October 25, 1967 in Lorain, OH, and had been a life long Vermilion resident.
David graduated from Vermilion High School in 1986 and managed Liberty Place Firewood and Christmas Tree Farm. He had also worked at Second Harvest Food Bank.
He enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood, car repair, and was a sports enthusiast, especially cheering for the Oakland Raiders. David was loved by all that met him and he enjoyed ministering to everyone.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Rosalie (nee Nemeth) Nieding of Vermilion, brother, Donny Alan Nieding of Englewood, FL; aunts and uncles, Bill and Sheila Nemeth of Elyria; Judy and Gary Mayo-Silvey of Avon Lake; Jo Ellen and Mark Sciulli of Lorain; Dennis and Sharon Szabo of New London. He also leaves behind his pets, Nicky, Molly, and Abby.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ward and Margaret (nee Phillips) Nieding; and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Jean Szabo and Gasper Nemeth.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Ohio. Reverend Nick Cacciatore and Reverend David Baynes will co-officiate.
