Dixie Oleta Ksiazek
LORAIN - Dixie Oleta Ksiazek (nee: Murray), 85 years of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Mercy Regional Medical Center as a result of a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Her family was by her side when she drifted off to be with the Lord.
Dixie was born to John T. and Elizabeth M. Murray of West Virginia on November 30, 1927. Though she was frail, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and loved ones.
Dixie's interests included family, gardening and sewing. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members and elderly in the Lorain area. Dixie had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of the Church on the North Coast. Her daughter Janette, lovingly cared for Dixie the last 12 years of her life. Dixie's son, Stefan and daughter Kimberly also provided love, compassion and assistance with her care.
Survivors include her son Stefan Ksiazek of North Ridgeville; daughters Kimberly Cantwell (Timothy) of Cuyahoga Falls and Janette Ksiazek of Lorain; grandsons: Erik, Nickolas, and Brandon Ksiazek, Ryan (Molly) Cantwell, Austin (Lauren) Cantwell, and Garrett Cantwell; great granddaughter, Clara Cantwell; and sister Eleanor Rice (John) of Morgantown, W.Va., and many nieces and nephews.
Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Kazimierz George Ksiazek after 51 years of marriage; two infant granddaughters; brothers Delbert and John B. Murray; daughter in law Kim Ksiazek (nee; Brubaker); and her parents John T. and Elizabeth Murray.
