Donita Whitt Obituary
She was born December 28, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Donald and Juanita (Debo) Pollard.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Steven R. Whitt whom she married November 7, 1970; her two children, Renee (Matt) Opel and Dirk (Stephanie) Whitt; four grandchildren, Rhyan, Reid, Olivia and Bishop; two siblings, Brian (Cindy) Pollard and Fredericka "Doodle" Woutilia; and other family members.
Donita was a 1965 graduate of Minford High School. She was employed by Oberlin College and worked in food service for over 25 years. Donita was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was very active as a reader and greeter. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to garage sales with her crew, camping, going on covered wagon trains, and shopping. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St. Wakeman, Ohio 44889. There will be a Wake Service Monday at 8:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 46 E. Main St. Wakeman, Ohio 44889. Father Jeff Sikorski will officiate. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in Donita's name may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church 46 E. Main St, Wakeman, Ohio 44889.

I am so sad to hear of Donita's passing. She never failed to be a welcoming presence in Wilder who remembered my name and was a cheering presence when I visited there. My condolences to her family and friends.
