Eugene Patrick Obituary

Eugene R. Patrick - May 17, 1936 - October 13, 2012
Eugene was born in Lorain, Ohio. He was preceded in death by parents Martin and Marie Patrick and siblings Martin and Joan Marie Patrick.
He was a long time resident of Westchester, Calif.
Eugene worked at the Lorain Journal as a Photographer and as an artist drawing Comic Strip namely "The Passing Scene". He also worked at O'Neil Department store and Smith & Gerhart as a display window designer. Gene had many sketches published in various newspapers and magazines. Gene was honored by the International Library of Poetry.
In addition to his creative writing and artistry Gene also worked in Hollywood as a movie extra. He was a cast member on the sitcom "Little House on the Prairie" and in the movie "Airport". In addition he worked on The Lou Grant Show for 5 years; Mr. Patrick was the proud owner of "Signs by Gene" printing custom art T-shirts and Gene's Hobby Hub.
He was a member of the Model A Ford Club of American and owned a 1930 "A coupe." Gene was an active judge in many car shows.
Mr. Patrick worked for Peter Norton after he retired a director of the Senior Golf League at Westchester Golf Course and the lakes Senior Golf League at El Segundo. He loved drawing, golf, photography, reading newspapers and sending letters to the editor, bike rides and working around his house and yard.
Gene will be deeply and forever missed.
