Evelyn L. Gay, 94, of Sturgeon Bay, WI passed away at home on Jan. 11, 2018.
She was born May 11, 1923, in Lorain, Ohio to Fredrick and Louise Farschman. On January 28, 1944, she married George L. Gay. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2013.
Evelyn was a long time member of the United Methodist Church of Sturgeon Bay and was also very active in the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include 3 sons, George (Brian) Gay M.D., Cambridge, WI; John Gay, Sturgeon Bay and David (Ellen) Gay, Waukesha, WI; 3 grandchildren, Richard (Melanie) Gay, Fort Meyers, FL; Robert (Melissa) Gay, Sturgeon Bay; and Hannah (Markus) Pajumaki, Helsenki, Finland; a brother, Fred (Dorothy) Farschman, Lorain, OH; and a sister, Carolyn Farschman, Lorain, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Lois Gringle.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday Jan. 15, 2018 at the United Methodist Church of Sturgeon Bay, WI with the Rev. David Leistra officiating. Burial will be in Hainesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of service. An Eastern Star service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Forbes Funeral Home & Cremations is serving the family.
