Frances C. Krzak, (nee Vitelli), age 82, of Lorain, passed away Saturday February 23, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lorain on March 17, 1930 and remained a life-long resident of the city.

Mrs. Krzak was a longtime parishioner of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she was a member and former officer of the Altar & Rosary Society and was also active with the Ladies Guild. Fran was currently attending St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township.
For twenty years she served the Lorain County Board of Elections as both a Presiding Judge and poll worker. She and her late husband were also active as foster parents where they mentored 51 children between 1961 and 1979.
In her free time Fran enjoyed baking, reading, crocheting, gardening and pets.
She is survived by her sons Daniel (Cheryl) and Leonard (Wendy) both residing in Lorain along with Steven (Terri) who resides in Sheffield Lake. She also leaves eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 1997, by her parents John and Leona (nee Micjan) Vitelli, and by her brother John Vitelli.
Visitation will be Tuesday February 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Reverend Donald Dunson, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
