VERMILION - Gertrude Baron (nee Peganz), 87, of Vermilion, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Towne Center Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake. |
Gertrude was born September 30, 1925 in Leoben, Austria. She moved to the United States in 1960 from England and had lived in Vermilion since 1962.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion and enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Baron; sons, Peter (Michelle) Baron of Strongsville, and Thomas (companion, Julie) Baron of Vermilion; grandchildren, Geoffrey (Julie), Courtney, Amy, and Kristen Baron and great grandson, Avery.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 15, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Prayers will be said in the funeral home at 12 noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion..
