Jack Dillon Obituary

OBERLIN - Jack L. Dillon, age 83, of Oberlin, died March 20, 2011.
He was born on February 24, 1928 in Centralia, WV. He retired from US Steel, in Lorain, where he operated a crane for 40 years.
Survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Dillon; daughters Connie Dillon of Wellington, Mary Saunders of Elyria; and son, Jack W. Dillon of Elyria; granddaughters Rosemary Ortíz (Dan) Grafton and Rebecca Rosecrans (Chris) Sullivan, and Melissa Saunders of Kentucky; grandson ABF2 Thomas Scott, U.S. Navy; great-grandchildren Armand, Brendan, Ophelia, Rónán, Isadora and Arabella Ortíz; sisters Dollie May Barber, Md., and Hazel June Fallon, Ill., and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents John L. and Mary Alice (Harris) Dillon.
He enjoyed raising Herford cattle, chickens, pigeons and coon hunting.
Pastor Delaine McGhee of Grafton United Methodist Church will preside over a private service, Jack's ashes will be spread on the family farm, at his request, at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Morman Funeral Home, Wakeman. Online condolences may be left at www.mormanfuneralhome.com
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
