James "Pooch" Williams
LORAIN - James "Pooch" Williams, 77, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, January 13, 2013.
He was born on January 12, 1936 in Everettville, West Virginia and moved to this area in 1959. He worked for 30 years at the Lorain Ford plant as an assembler in the commercial and passenger departments. He retired in 2001 and was a member of UAW Local 425. He was also a member of the former Black AC Sports Club in Lorain.
James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Priscilla Williams of Lorain; 8 children, Gary L (Juliane) Williams of Jacksonville FL, Crystal (Rick) Terry of Steubenville OH, Angela Williams of Lorain, Ronald (Melanie) Williams of Lorain, Jim E (Latonna) Williams of Dayton OH, Neil Hudson of Cincinnati OH, Anthony (Renee) Williams of Phoenix AZ, and Dominique Taylor of Lorain; 2 brothers, Edgar (Barbara) Williams of Lorain and Ronald (Annette) Kelley of Lorain; 2 sisters, Vickie (Jesse) Tucker of Morgantown WV and Linda Kelley of Everettville WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Williams Sr.; mother, Mildred Head (nee Pankey); and a brother, Vernon Barrett.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of services at Noon at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain OH 44052. Rev. Loversier Lewis of Second Baptist Church of Lorain will officiate.
