LORAIN - Janet Brelich, age 80, of Lorain, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, December 16, 2012. She was born in Oberlin, Ohio on November 1, 1932 and had been a resident of Lorain for the majority of her life.
A former parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, Janet was employed by Fussy Dry Cleaners at its Lorain and Avon stores.
She possessed a love of the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She also loved the companionship of her pet cat, Morris.
Survivors include her daughter Debra (Tom) Turnbow of Grafton, and grandsons Joseph R. Peters of North Olmsted and Robert J. Peters, II residing in Grafton.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Brelich in 1979 and by her daughter Kathleen A. Frey in 1982.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Reverend Chris Robinson representing New Life Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery .
