John D. Hall
LORAIN – John D. Hall, age 59 and a life-long resident of Lorain, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was surrounded by his loving family.
John was born May 11, 1954 to the late Lewis Hall and Bonnie (nee Lautner) Hartsell. He was a member of the Class of 1972 at Admiral King High School. John was a tool and die maker employed in the Cleveland area. In later years he became self-employed working with computers. He enjoyed fishing, especially salmon fishing, gardening, cooking and grilling.
Survivors include his wife Maxine E. (nee Richmond), five children, Daniel of Amherst, Todd of Lorain, Angel Evans (Jeffrey Blinco) of Lorain, Jonathan Richmond of Elyria, Rachel Hall of Brunswick, five grandchildren, his mother Bonnie (William) Hartsell of Ashland, two brothers Donald of Henrietta Township and Mark (Robin) of Lorain, a sister Tammy (Ray) McGinnis of Elyria, and his son-in-law Billy Evans Jr. of Lorain.
In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his brother Eric.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home Alternatives, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Attila Szemesi, pastor of Amherst Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
