John M. “Jack” Huge ELYRIA — John M. “Jack” Huge 72, of Elyria passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013. He had served in the U.S. Navy, and was a family man known for his wit. Jack grew up in Avon Lake, and served Elyria's Board of Standards and Appeals for many years. He had worked for Sears and U.S. Steel. In 1980 he began his HVAC business; Jack Huge Heating and Air Conditioning. He and his son worked together until recent months when he became ill. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Sally Huge (nee: Harris); a son, Kenneth D. Huge (Shirley); a daughter, Pamela J. (nee: Huge) Prieto; 4 grandchildren, BJ Huge, (Cortney), McKenzie Prieto, Michael Prieto, and Shelby Prieto; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother; Robert Huge (Diane). Family will receive friends 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday immediately following visitation. V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors.
