Josephine K. (Czak) Taborac Obituary
"Together Again"
AVON LAKE - Josephine K. Taborac (nee Czak), 86 of Avon Lake formerly of Sheffield Township, passed away, Saturday, March 15, 2014, after a long illness at the Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake, under the care of the dear staff of Cross Roads Hospice.
Josephine was born February 25, 1928 in Elyria. She was a graduate of Elyria High School. In her earlier years she worked as a secretary at Bendix Corporation and then for Eastern Airlines. Later she worked as an assembler at the Elyria Manufacturing Company.
Josephine was an active member of St. Vincent DePaul Parish, Elyria, where she was a member of the church's Alter and Rosary Society and the Sunday Night Bingo Team. She was described by her daughters as an outstanding cook with pierogies and nut roll as her specialties. She also was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening and going to garage sales.
Josephine is survived by daughters Rosemary Taborac of Valley City, Leslie Taborac of Avon Lake and Sharon Kearney (Terry) of Shepherdsville, KY. She is also survived by two grandsons, Aaron Kearney (Lauren) and Brian Kearney and a canine grandson Brutus.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Milan; parents Stanley and Rose Czak; sister Helen Rehm and brothers Edward and Edwin Czak.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, Tuesday, March 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A prayer service will be at the Funeral Home, Wednesday at 9:15am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 41295 North Ridge Rd., Elyria at 10:00am. Fr. Donald Dunson of the church will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. 440-937-6175 www.buschcares.com
