AVON – Julia Agnes Donohue (nee Murray) of Avon died peacefully at Life Care Center of Westlake on Sunday, November 20, 2011. She was 98.

Born July 21, 1913 in Norwalk Ohio, she moved with her family to Lorain in 1920. She graduated from St. Mary Academy in 1931 and the Oberlin School of Commerce in 1933. She worked as a legal secretary prior to her marriage to E.T. "Bud" Donohue on November 20, 1937. In the early 1960's she worked as the administrative secretary for United Appeal (now United Way) and later, St. Peter Parish in Lorain, before retiring in 1978. She was a member of Holy Trinity Prayer Group up until her death and was a volunteer teacher in the Lubach Literacy Program for Adult Learners offered by the Lorain Public Library from 1989 through 2001.
She is survived by her sons David J. (Susan) of Amherst, Edmund M. of Avon, Rev. Paul M., of Newark, New Jersey and Timothy J. (Mara) of Rocky River. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991, her parents Patrick J. and Veronica J. (Flood), and her brothers Peter J., John J., Edward J., and Cornelius J. Murray.
Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Avon on Wednesday, November 23. Interment will be private.
