HENRIETTA, TOWNSHIP - Kim Lynette Meyers (nee: Northeim), 54 years of age, and a resident of Henrietta Twp., passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 28, 1958 in Amherst, Ohio. Kim was raised in Brownhelm Twp., graduating from Firelands High School in the class of 1977. Amherst, Vermilion and most recently her parents home in Henrietta Twp. have been her places of residence.
Kim was employed at Ridge Tool for eight years as a machine operator. She was previously employed with Columbia Gas for over twenty three years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. Kim was a frequent volunteer for community and school activities, supporting her friends and family with her time and energy. She loved her Cleveland and OSU sports as well as her cats.
Survivors include her children Matthew Meyers, Christopher Meyers, and daughter Jennifer Meyers all of Amherst; her parents Dick and Carol Northeim (nee: Fletcher) of Henrietta Twp.; her brother Scott (Joy) Northeim of Brownhelm Township; her sisters Sheri (Ray) Hyster of Henrietta Twp., Kelli (David) Kudela of Henrietta Twp.
Friends may call Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brownhelm Cemetery, Brownhelm Township, Ohio.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Cancer Center; 41201 Schadden Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
