M. Cozette "Rusty" Green McKinney (nee Schmidt), age 90, of Amherst, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Specialty Hospital of Lorain.

Cozette was born on August 19, 1922 in Watertown, South Dakota to the late Frederick and Sarah Schmidt. She had been a resident of Amherst since 1967.
She was a 1940 graduate of Elyria High School.
Cozette had worked for many years at Smith and Gerhart Department Store and also at Klein's Department Store both in downtown Lorain. She also worked at Lorain Products as an assembler for 15 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Rebeka Lodge for over 60 years, and was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Golden Agers. She had been a very active member of RSVP (Reitred Senior Volunteer Program) of which she received a pin for having 5000 hours of service.
She is survived by a nephew Berdette "Pat" (Nancy) Schmidt; and several great nieces and nephews.
Cozette was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter E. Green in 1959, and Edgar W. McKinney in 1970 and her brother, Berdette Schmidt.
Inurnment in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
Arrangements were handled by the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst.
