LORAIN - Mary Lore (nee Parker), 88, of Lorain, died, Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after a short illness.

She was born August 15, 1923 in Carter County, KY and had been a Lorain resident for the past 54 years, moving from Portsmouth, Ohio in 1957.
Mary worked at Ford Motor Rouge Plant in Michigan during WWII building airplanes. She married her husband, Stanley E. Lore in April of 1946 and began working at Elyria Spring as a machine operator retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the Amherst Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed cooking and helping others.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Lewis) Adkins of Wakeman; sons, Roger (Diane) Lore of Amherst, and Rick (Alexis) Lore of Sheffield Village; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Lore in 1974, parents, Mathew & Lula Belle (nee Hamilton ) Parker; son, Ronnie Lore; grandson, Derek Roger Lore; brothers: Russel, Frank, and Woodrow Parker; sisters, Goldie Davis, Soffie Lawhorn, Violet Spry, Hazel James, Ora McGuire, and Maggie Smith.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 4 to 7 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11am at the Riddle Funeral Home. Pastor Rich Henry will officiate. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
