Mary Margaret Crawford|
NEW LONDON – Mary Margaret Crawford, 95, of New London, died Wednesday evening, July 16, 2014 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
She was born on April 5, 1919, in Danbury, Ohio and lived in Florence and Nova before moving to New London where she lived for over 50 years. She graduated from Nova High School in 1937 as Valedictorian. Mary worked as a seamstress at the former C.E. Ward Company in New London. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in New London. Mary loved to sew.
Mary is survived by her son, Charles (Marcia) Crawford of New London; daughter-in-law, Donnie Crawford of Winnemucca, Nevada; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, David Moon of Berlin Heights; sister, Lydia (Bill) Bernard of Kokomo, Indiana and sister-in-law, Irma Moon of Berlin Heights.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Jim Crawford; parents, George and Mary Moon; brother, Art Moon and sister, Catherine Green.
The family will greet friends Sunday, July 20th from noon till the 2 p.m. service at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. Ed Hamilton will officiate. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
