Going through a box of old Ohio Farmer magazines and Pat came to mind. Her column was one of the highlights to me. Have to finish reading her books before it's too late.

Just reading A Thread of Blue Denim. I picked it up a a thrift store. It's a signed copy. It is delightful! I will look for the other books. Thank you! Your life story continues to bless.

I am in the process of reading Mrs. Leimbach's book "A Harvest of Bittersweet". She referred in there to her mother as being a Musselman. That was my mother's maiden name and I thought perhaps we might be related.
I am sorry I never got the chance to ask her personally. May God give her rest.

The trips to visit friends and mostly family in and around Vermilion don't happen as often as the trips warrant. It has always been easy to stop in on Pat. I will remember her lively and lovely personality. Genealogy brought us together and will unite us forever. As I plant flowers in the Henry Baxtine and Katherine Leimbach cemetery urn in Maplegrove Cemetery today halfway through Summer 2013, thoughts of family are constantly in my mind. "Every song I Sing will be sung for you". Music and the understanding of natural cycles are spiritually uplifting. Things Pat understood.

I lived across the field from the Leimbach's you could not find better people. The Farmer's Wife is now with her farmer. Rest in Peace.

I wrote more in my memorial but it did not show...I wrote how I have fond memories of hanging out at the farm and playing games on New Year's Eve with the family, and spending time visiting Pat. She will be missed. I always saw her smiling face in the audience at Workshop Players. She was definitely one of a kind with a huge heart.

My sincere and deepest sympathy in your recent loss. May God give you Strength and Peace in the days ahead and know the memories you have will remain with you always. It was truly a pleasure to have met her as speaker of the Penton meetings. God Bless.

Pat was one of a kind, with indefatigable energy and a personality that drew others to her. Despite her fame, she never forgot her old friends. The many kindnesses she did for others were a hallmark of her life...and never to be forgotten by the recipients. Connie joins me in extending sympathy to her survivors. You have inherited a great legacy. Gordon "Skip" Ward, Sylvania, Oh

I'm very sorry for your loss. I did not really know your mother Orrin. However knowing the caliber of man you are gives me a real inclination as to who she was. May God bless and comfort all of you through this time of sorrow.

To the whole Penton family: Paul and Pat were great neighbors, they worked extremely hard all of their lives and made great accomplishments throughout. You can be very proud of both of them. Enjoy the memories.

Orrin (Cathie) and family:
Pat was obviously "one of a kind" and a very special lady to be a part of your lives. So sorry for your loss.
