LORAIN - Pauline Garrett (nee: Moss), 92 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, formerly of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at her home following a brief illness. |
She was born October 7, 1919 in Clovis, New Mexico. Pauline was raised in Farenburg, Missouri before moving to Amherst in 1949 and made her home for thirty-five years. In 1984, she moved to Columbus, where she resided for fourteen years. Lorain has been her home since 1998.
Pauline was a loving housewife and mother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed various sitcoms on television. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son Thomas William Garrett of Columbus, daughter Patricia Anne Garrett of Lorain; grandchildren Bradley and Kristen Garrett of Lewis Center, Ohio, Craig Garrett of Columbus; her great granddaughter Addison Lee as well as four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years Howard F. Garrett on July 8, 1993; one brother; two sisters; and her parents Jim and Mattie Moss.
Services will be held privately by the family.
