Robert Dean St. Aubyn Obituary
AVON - Robert Dean St. Aubyn, 78, of Avon and formerly of Bay Village passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 25, 1934 in Russell, Kansas the son of the late Robert M. and Tressa (nee Heffel). After a career as an officer with the U.S. Coast Guard, Bob enjoyed working for the Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company and ended his career working for the Cleveland Maritime Administration. He was a past-president of the Bay Men's Club and an integral part of the social life at Avenbury Lakes in Avon. He was a fabulous cook for which he will be missed and loved sharing his passion for food. He also enjoyed winter vacations at The Villages in Florida where he shared special times with family and friends.
Mr. St. Aubyn is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sandra (nee Bently); loving children Robert David St. Aubyn (Lisa) of North Ridgeville, Charles Raymond St. Aubyn (Eileen Woodrick) of Cleveland and Susan Leonne Zeyer (Donovan) of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Philip, Taylor and Isabella; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Glenn (and sister-in-law Sue) and his sister Marguerite Anderson (and brother-in-law Melvin).
Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon from 2-4 & 6-8pm Tuesday. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Providence Church, 35295 Detroit Road, Avon Wednesday, February 29 at 1:00pm. Pastor Jim Bzdafka and Crossroads Hospice Chaplain Mark Telepak will officiate. Burial will be private at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
