COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Ruth Jean Sevits (nee Lingelbach), 89, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the Broadmoor Court in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Ruth was born in Vermilion, Ohio on March 16, 1924, to the late Samuel E. and Laura M. (nee Walper) Lingelbach.
She married Richard M. Sevits in 1943 and resided in Lorain until 1980 when they moved to Pueblo West, Colorado. Ruth was active in her church, and enjoyed boating, camping, traveling, bowling, reading, and crafts.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 70 years, Richard, a son, Richard R. Sevits (Patricia) of Peyton, Colorado, a daughter, Cheryl A. (Gary) Howell of Amherst, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph S. Lingelbach, in 2001.
Funeral services were held at the Ecumenical Church of Pueblo West on October 22, 2013, with Paster Bill Johnson officiating.
