Shirley A. (Naelitz) Bobel Obituary
LORAIN - Shirley A. Bobel, 82, (nee Naelitz) of Lorain was called home to God on November 18, 2011 following a brief illness.
Mrs. Bobel was born in Lorain on January 31, 1929, the youngest daughter of the late Daniel J. and Anna (nee Lynch) Naelitz. A lifelong resident of Lorain, she graduated from Lorain High School in the Class of 1947.
She was a member of the former St Mary Church now known as Mary Mother of God Parish. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of the church.
Mrs. Bobel was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and was active in the Lorain Democratic Party. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Bobel enjoyed cooking, gardening, home decorating and helping raise her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Kimberly A. (Michael) Bobel-Smosny, a son William K. Bobel both of Lorain, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers James (Mariann) Naelitz of Cape Coral, FL, Robert (Ida Marie) Naelitz of Lorain and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William A. Bobel in 1997, a daughter Sharon A Lewyckyj in 1993, a sister Ada Mae Naelitz, brothers Thomas Naelitz, Daniel Naelitz and Frank Naelitz.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from Sunday 2-4 & 7-9.
Funeral services will be on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a A Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Mother of God Parish at 10:00 am with Rev. Daniel O. Divis, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
