Shirley A. Hall LORAIN — Shirley A. (nee: VanHoose) Hall, 68, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio. Shirley was born in Elyria, Ohio on November 30, 1944 to her loving parents, Edgar and Marie (nee: DeChant) VanHoose and was raised and resided in Lorain, Ohio. She retired from Aramark inside Avon Ford Plant as a line cook for many years. Shirley enjoyed gardening and cross word puzzles. She opened her arms, her home, her kitchen and her heart to many. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Hall; daughter, Christina Hall; son, Curtis Hall Jr.; grandchildren, Bryan Hall, Alexis “Mia” Vargas, Hailey Hall, Tyler Franks and Brittany Campo; siblings, James (Maria) VanHoose, Kathleen (Harold) Rutledge, Donna Gunnoe, Robert (Marie) VanHoose, Linda (Jerry) Martin, Edgar VanHoose Jr, and Margaret (Charles) Nutt; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Marie VanHoose; brother, Donald VanHoose; and nephew, Charles Nutt. The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013 at the funeral home, Pastor Larry Newsome, officiating.
