AMHERST - Theresa A. Kramer (nee Frankoviak), age 79 and a resident of Amherst, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 31, 2011 at her residence.

She was born October 13, 1932 in Elyria, the daughter of the late Stanley and Theresa (nee Borucki) Frankoviak. On January 16, 1954, she married Eugene Louis Kramer who preceded her in death on June 27, 1966.
Theresa and Eugene, lived in many wonderful places while raising their sons, Mark and Wayne. They resided in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Germany, San Diego, and Hawaii. Eugene was a career Navy enlisted serviceman. Theresa brought their sons home to Amherst while Eugene did a remote tour in McMerdo Sound, Antarctica. Shortly thereafter Eugene passed away. Theresa decided to stay in Amherst. She bought a home in Amherst to raise her sons and put down roots.
Theresa worked for many years in the materials management at St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain, from where she retired after 25 years of service.
Theresa is survived by two sons, Mark S. (Brenda) Kramer of Colchester, Vermont and Wayne L. (Beth) Kramer of Pace, Florida; a granddaughter Nicole Kramer of Pace, Florida, her sister Helen I. Sponsler of Vero Beach, Florida.
In addition to her husband and parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Earl E. Sponsler.
The family will receive friends Friday 4 - 7 p.m. at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst.

She will be interred with her beloved husband in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington D.C.
