Thomas James Keller Obituary
ELYRIA TOWNSHIP – Thomas James Keller, 63 years of age, and a resident of Elyria Township, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at home following a sudden illness.
He was born September 21, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. Thomas was raised in Cleveland and lived in Pennsylvania as a young man. He lived in Lorain for eight years before moving to Elyria in 2011. Thomas was employed as a mechanic at Bruner Landscaping. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Thomas received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He loved fishing and enjoyed drag racing at Norwalk Speedway.
He will be missed by his loving wife Brenda Lee (nee: Guy); sons Bob Tousel of Salem, Ohio, David Donley of Bristoria, Pennsylvania, Joshua Donley of Aleppo, Pennsylvania, Nick Ventura of Elyria; daughters Melissa Tyree of Conway, South Carolina, Rachel Donaldson and Manthy Donaldson both of Topeka, Kansas, Becky Donley of Bristoria, Pennsylvania; eighteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers James Keller of Elyria, Frank Keller of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Tim and Todd Keller both of Lorain, Tobbie Keller of Texas; sisters Jane Lamier of North Olmsted, Patricia Galloway of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, and Tina Keller of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore Richard and Ethelyn Nadine Keller (nee: Pugh); his brothers Donald and Kenny Keller.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Burial will be in Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio.
