AMHERST - Tony Lee Bradley, age 61 and a life resident of Amherst, died after a sudden illness Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Amherst Hospital.

Tony was born in Oberlin, February 6, 1949 to the late Henry and Dorothy M. (nee Quattlebaum) Bradley. He was a 1968 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School, Amherst. Following high school Tony was employed by the Nordson Corporation, Amherst for 42 years, retiring in November 2010. He started as an assembler and then moved to the maintenance department.
His hobbies included fishing, watching old black and white movies, and gardening. He loved attending flea markets, especially Jamie's in South Amherst, and he loved animals.
Tony was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Amherst.
Survivors include his wife Nancy M. (nee Grob); his step-son Adam Beckley of Amherst; two brothers, Tommie (wife Carolyn) of Elyria and Ervin (wife Kit) of Semmes, Alabama; and two sisters, Wanda (husband Russell) Pippert of Amherst and Linda Bradley of Amherst; many neices and nephews and great neices and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his sister Donna K. Kindig (2002).
Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Mayes of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Kendeigh Corners Cemetery, Amherst Township, Ohio.
