AVON LAKE - Charles P. Watson, 66, of Avon Lake and formerly of Amherst, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014, unexpectedly after a brief illness.
He was born on December 1, 1947, in Memphis, TN.
Charles was a retired Ford worker where he worked on the assembly line in Lorain for 36 years. He loved to watch sports, barbeque with the family, go fishing, be outside, work on cars and clean. He also enjoyed poker and the lottery. What he loved most was being with his family and friends. Charles gave freely of himself and his time to others. He was a friend and father figure to many.
Charles is survived by his wife, Karen E. (nee Frisky); children, Christopher C. (Jeanette) Watson, Melissa Watson and Cyle Perry; grandchildren, Jonathon, Caleb, Mason, Keileh, Julia, Benjamin and Ethan; sisters, Ruby (Ronnie) Redding and Faye (Lori) Watson; brothers-in-law, Bill (Kelly) Frisky and Scott Frisky; and sister-in-law, Sandy (Barry) Rader.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra; father, John; and brothers, Kenneth, Clay and Anthony.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake, on Wednesday, February 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friends will have an opportunity to share memories at 7 p.m. during the visitation. 440-933-3202
