Charles Lewis "Jigger" Hurlbut, III, 55, passed away, Wednesday, January 29. Jigger as he was known to his friends was born August 1, 1958 in Lakewood and had live in Cleveland's west suburbs most of his life. He was an Air Force Veteran serving for 8 years, much of that time he was stationed in Germany. He worked for a time in the insurance industry, but his true passion was sailing and found great pleasure piloting boats as well as repairing boats. If he wasn't working on a boat, he was off sailing himself.
Jigger is survived by his brother Douglas P. Hurlbut of Amherst and sister Holly Borlie (Nick) of Cresson, PA.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Lewis Hurlbut, II and Harriett J. (nee Thurbar).
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Friday, February 7, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m.
