VERMILION - Kenneth H. DeVault, 75, of Vermilion, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.
Kenneth was born August 15, 1938 in Bannock, Ohio and had been an area resident since 1951.
He was a veteran of the United States Army stationed in Germany.
Kenneth worked as a painter, touch up and repairman for Ford Motor, Lorain for 41 years.
He loved to watch sports on TV. He enjoyed his grandchildren and his cats. He enjoyed working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy DeVault (nee Sivnksty) of Vermilion; daughters, Christine (Jerry) Dickson of Vermilion, and Kimberly (Walt) King of Berlin Heights; grandchildren, Brittany and Jared Dickson and Lisa, Jacob, Nathan and Joshua King; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Samuel Sumey and sisters, Margaret McCormick and Ruth Snelling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ada (nee Elerick) DeVault; grandson, Ryan King; brothers, Frankie DeVault, and Bobby DeVault and sisters, Shirley Laisure and Sue Hurn.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, 2014 from noon until the time of a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military services. Interment will follow at Peaks Cemetery, Berlin Township.
