Pearlene "Pearl" Willis-Riggins
LORAIN - Pearlene "Pearl" Willis-Riggins, 63, of Lorain went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 26, 2014 in the Anchor Lodge Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Riggins was born in Behula Mississippi then coming to Lorain 45 years ago from Elyria.
Mrs. Riggins was employed for Altar Care Nursing home in Avon, plastic components, and as a cook for Lakeview plaza retiring after many years of service.
She was a member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, a member of the senior choir, Gospelettes, and The Sunlight Gospel group and Tunes of Joy Gospel group of Lorain County.
Mrs. Riggins enjoyed watching sports, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by sons; Alonzo Willis, Ricky Riggins, George Riggins Jr., Tracey Riggins all of Lorain, 21 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, sisters; Correne Willis, Irene Willis-Henderson, Virgina Roxince- Willis, Darlene Willis-Zeh all of Lorain and Joann Freeman of Hawaii, brothers; Perry Willis of Lorain, Andrew Willis, Johnny Willis, Samuel Earl Willis all of California.
She was preceded in death by parents; Perry and Willie Willis, brothers; Percy Gene Willis, Robert Lee Willis.
Friends may call Tuesday March 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church 1880 Dayton Ave., Lorain, Pastor Tyrone Holley will officiate services.
