Glen Wilburn Sr.
AMHERST - Glen Wilburn Sr., 90, of Amherst, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland following a brief illness. He was born in Kehoe, Kentucky on February 29, 1924. Glen proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He worked in the construction industry as a brick layer for 50 years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Wilburn, children; Mary (Harold) Bryant, Glen (Justine) Wilburn Jr., Betty (Roy) Tews, Carol (Larry) Palvekosky, Roberta (Florian) Truskot, Robert (Aurie) Wilburn, Edwin Wilburn, Deborah (Michael) Easterday. 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Ethal Wilburn, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Ridge Hill Memorial Park 44805 North Ridge Rd. Amherst Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by Wyers Funeral Chapel 2900 North Ridge Road Sheffield Township.
