Phillip F. Angell|
VERMILION – Phillip F. Angell, 77, of Vermilion, was called home to rejoin his loved ones gone years ago that he missed so much. He passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a long illness.
He was born September 21, 1936 in Duluth, Minnesota. Phillip served in the U.S. Army in 1954 than rejoined for six more years, being honorably discharged. He spent most of his life in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Ohio two years ago to be with his children. While residing in Minnesota, he worked in a hardware store and after retiring he was a maintenance man for several apartment complexes.
Phillip loved gardening, cooking, crocheting, and collectables.
Survivors include his daughter Donna Sarvas of Vermilion and his son William Thoen of Lorain, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Carol Marie Angell, who passed away October 23, 2011, and his first wife and daughter Shirley and Suzanne, who were killed in an automobile accident in 1965.
Phillip will be laid to rest in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his wives and daughter.
