LORAIN - Janice A. (nee Rader) Lovell, age 86, passed away May 21, 2014, in Apex, North Carolina, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 18, 1928, in Lorain, Ohio, to Edwin and Edna (nee Griffith) Rader and graduated from Lorain High School in 1946.
Janice was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Lorain and was a member of the choir.
She is survived by her son, Allen (Mel St. Claire) Lovell, of Lorain; daughters, Barbara (John) Elliott, of Apex, N.C., and Patricia (Andrew) Siwierka, of Lorain; grandchildren, William Robert Duffy III, Eric Duffy, Michele Korzan, Amanda Dashner and Christopher Siwierka.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lovell; and her parents, Edwin and Edna Rader.
The Lovell family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation. Rev. Dan Reinke will officiate.
Private family inturnment will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park at a later date.
