AMHERST – Michael Brunetto, age 66, of Amherst passed away suddenly at Mercy Regional Medical Center on Friday, June 6, 2014.
He was born on February 18, 1948 in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Marion L. Steele High School in 1966. He lived in Lorain and Amherst most of his life.
Michael retired from Firestone/Expert Tire in 2004. He was an avid camper and enjoyed many camping trips to the Amish Country, Myrtle Beach and many other places. He also enjoyed working in his beautiful gardens and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gail; his children, Tracy (Jeff) Shamhart, of Amherst and Christopher (DeAnna) Brunetto of Lorain; his brothers, Jack (Jayne) of Fort Wayne, IN, David (Laura) of Henrietta Twp.; sister, Linda Brunetto of Bangor, MI; and his father-in-law, Tom Teaman. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Kathleen Brunetto; and his mother-in-law, Geraldine Teaman.
The Brunetto family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where closing prayers will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
