Jack Howard Sweet|
SPENCER TWP. – Jack Howard Sweet, 90, died on July 16th 2014 at home peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.
Jack was born January 15th, 1924 and raised in Avon, Ohio. He graduated from Avon High School in 1942. Jack is an Army Veteran and served in World War II. He moved to Spencer, Ohio in 2003 with his granddaughter. Jack was an equipment operator and a farmer on his family farm for most his life. He was a true hero and role model to so many people. He was very involved with his family. Jack enjoyed the simple things in life and never took anything for granted. He liked to be outside and "tinker" around. Jack could fix anything; he always had the right answers, and the best advice. He especially enjoyed quality time with his chocolate lab, Sadie, and his great-grandsons that thought the world of him. Jack had a smile and blue eyes that could light up anyone's day. He never left the house without his pockets full of candy, which he was always willing to share.
In passing he was rejoined with his beautiful beloved wife, Alberta Sweet, his parents Howard and Ruth (Hicks) Sweet, and his sister Annette Davidson, and his wonderful and respected son-in-law Michael Keller.
He is survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann Keller, grandchildren, Michael Keller II and Jaclyn Marvin as well as his two great-grandsons, Nolan and Jack.
Per Jack's request there will be no services. We ask that everyone that knew him celebrate his life and share a happy memory of him. If you wish to make donations please make them to the Friendship Animal Protective League 8303 Murray Ridge Road Elyria, Ohio 44035, as Jack loved animals.
